Description

Member of Crossroads Artists since 2008

Always creative in fabric and words, I came back to painting after retirement. Self-taught, I am learning from my 'lucky' mistakes and the constructive criticism of fellow artists…and my grand-daughter.

Colour is important to me but, even more so, is the quest to inspire a story in the observer's mind.

My preferred medium is acrylic and my subjects, eclectic. I am drawn to architectural lines such as doors and windows but see them juxtaposed with the softness of natural forms and age. I am also intrigued by texture, sometimes using the structure of the canvas itself and sometimes devising ways to 'escape' that same structure.

The journey continues…
